Experts from the FIFA Organizing Committee arrived to Saint Petersburg to check on the development at the Krestovsky Stadium. Colin Smith, one of the FIFA directors, was very pleased with the way things are going in St. Petersburg and with the stadiums readiness for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

According to him, construction is practically finished, and the final touches will be put on in the next two weeks. "We know that the stadium will be ready for the Confederations Cup in June. The city assured us, and has made sure that everything is prepared for the competition."

We remind you that the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup will take place in Russia from June 17 to July 2nd. Saint Petersburg is one of four host cities. After the Confederations Cup, the city will be one of the host cities for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
